Being intuitively creative was always something I happened to be skilled at as a young person,
but it wasn’t something I knew, consciously, that I was good at – it was just part of my personality, part of “being Kevin”.
And so it wasn’t until I lost touch with my intuition, lost touch with my natural Creative Spark that I was aware of anything otherwise — any other way of being.
Through a series of tragic and unfortunate events, I lost my identity as a Skateboarder, as a creative young adult, and found myself soon following a path that neither matched my natural learning/ expression, nor made much sense to my heartfelt, intuitive self.
Have you ever heard the expression, “a career is made from leaning into our strengths, not simply developing our weaknesses”? Well, I learned and proved this to be true through a decade of heading along a path that was not my own… and then, ten years later, another tragic, life-pivoting event occurred: the parental pressures of a suicidal person, which guided me into a path that was not my own, suddenly came to an end. That person that I became, that adult who abruptly awoke to the path being altered before him, lost his identity once more. And it was in that void, yes in that void of immense loss, that I was able to rediscover who I was again, as a creative, intuitive skateboarding kid — the intuitive, creative, and highly passionate skateboarding kid I once was.
Now, as a grown adult in my 30’s, I’ve become consciously aware of exactly who I was then, and who I am now, as a creative, intuitive person now: I rediscovered my Creative Spark!
And having come full circle on this journey, I have realized that countless others are on this journey too — of discovering (or rediscovering) their Creative Spark, their intuitive joy of personal expression, of being human — and this current decade of human history couldn’t be a better time for us to do so!
As human beings, our Creativity, our Compassion, and our Relational Intelligence (EQ) are the most precious attributes we have, and the main/ only ones that artificial intelligence cannot replace.
Doctors and Nurses will not be replaced by machines, for patient care is a human-to-human interaction. Likewise, while AI can synthesize information that appears creative and original, true creativity comes from that creative “Spark” within humanity, the compassionate, creative “Image of Creator God” alive inside of Humanity and in Nature.
